Jason Blume presents songwriting workshops and seminars based on his book, 6 Steps to Songwriting Success… throughout the U.S. and internationally. Using a combination of lecture, inspiring anecdotes, humor, demos of hit songs, and exercises, Blume takes participants one step at a time through the steps necessary to write and market a successful song in either half or full-day programs.

A dynamic speaker, Jason Blume developed and currently teaches the BMI Nashville Songwriters Workshops. His lessons are used by Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) chapters throughout the U.S. and internationally.

One of the nation's most respected songwriting teachers and speakers, when he is not writing hits, Blume teaches others how to do so. He has taught his songwriting techniques as a guest lecturer at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (founded by Sir Paul McCartney), U.C.L.A. and Vanderbilt University, as well as a member of the faculty of Los Angeles' Pierce College, Nashville's Watkins Institute, and internationally in Australia, Norway, Ireland, Jamaica, New Zealand, Bermuda, Puerto Rico, the U.K., Canada, and Mexico.
